Hubble and Spitzer Telescopes Help Study of Young Stellar Objects
Astronomers today often combine resources to better comprehend their objects of interest. In a paper to be published in the Astrophysical Journal, available online now here, astronomers combine imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space Telescope to search out and understand young stellar objects (YSO) in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). The Large Magellanic Cloud is actually a small irregular galaxy that is clearly visible in the southern hemisphere. It is over 150,000 light years distant from our own Milky Way galaxy. This study will help scientists better understand how stars and their solar systems form.
