Dark Matter Search Hits Snag
Reporting on an attempt to repeat dark matter detection experiments, first reported in the European Physics Journal in 2008, a group of astrophysicists led by Frank Calaprice at Princeton University have informed the journal Nature that they may not be able to replicate the experiment due to the lack of sufficiently pure sodium iodide (salt) crystals which were key in the reported experiment. Dark matter in the universe is largely accepted by the science community, but its true nature is still debated.
