ESA Releases More Rosetta Pictures
The European Space Agency (ESA) released more images this morning from its Rosetta spacecraft which had a gravity assist flyby of the Earth on Friday. The instrument used, OSIRIS, sees both in the visible (or optical) portion of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum as well as in the infrared portion of the EM spectrum, so don’t be surprised if it looks a bit different from true color images of the same region. Take a look at the latest images online now here. And learn more about the instrument OSIRIS here.
