Citizen Scientists Help Model Interacting Galaxies
A new addition to the Galaxy Zoo effort has been announced. The GalaxyZoo organization is another effort intended to make use of what is now called “citizen science.” Anyone with a computer and link to the World Wide Web can take part in an effort to categorize millions of galaxies. In the latest effort, Dr. John Wallin of George Mason University (GMU) has developed software to allow users to help categorize and model galaxies that are interacting with other galaxies.
