On The Diversity of Extrasolar Planets
In a paper to be published as part of an IAU (International Astronomical Union) symposium volume, available online now here, astronomers review the data and models associated with the over 400 extrasolar planets yet discovered. Based upon the evidence to date, and the models that explain the evidence, these astronomers conclude “that a diverse range of terrestrial planets are likely to exist within extrasolar planetary systems.”
