ESA Chooses Euclid, PLATO and Solar Orbiter as Future Missions
The European Space Agency (ESA) announced today that they have chosen the future science missions that they will be supporting and launching into space. The three chosen missions are Euclid, PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars (PLATO), and Solar Orbiter. Euclid is to search for dark matter and dark energy in the universe. PLATO will be searching for extrasolar planets and study distant stars through a process known as helioseismology. Learn more about the future missions of ESA online now here.
