The Sun, SOHO and Helioseismology

In a paper presented at the Stellar Pulsation Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico, available online now here, Dr. Garcia provides the reader with an overview of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and how it has helped us over the years (launched in December 1995) understand our Sun as a star. In particular, Garcia focuses on the science called helioseismology, which is a study of the vibrations that we can see take place on the photosphere of the Sun, a way to understand its interior.
